Lincoln Comes to Visit!

Jennifer and Erik drove down this past weekend and brought Lincoln to visit. The weather was awful, but we had a great time just hanging out in the house and catching up. The boys did really well together on Saturday, but Grayson became awfully fond of the word "mao" (translates to MINE) on Sunday. He had done so well with the girls the weekend before. Apparently he's more willing to share to impress the ladies. But despite his "mao moments" I think Grayson enjoyed the company - we sure did!

Lincoln needs a farm! Since Grayson was old enough to sit up, he's never fallen asleep in my arms. Jennifer must be the baby whisperer because after about 1 book he was sound asleep in her arms. It was such a rare moment that I had to steal him back and let him finish his nap in my arms!

Are we really old enough for this? Weren't we just in high school last year?

Ahhh...the sorting castle has found new life!

Grayson may have a future as a plumber.

Let me check out your nuk.

See no evil.

Speak no evil.

I love OUTSIDE!

Grayson's new favorite word is "owsi" which translates to "outside." He loves being outside. We spend many afternoons out on the deck when we get home from work now that the weather has gotten better. A big pot of dirt - just what he needs!

Look Ma, no hands!

Grayson is quite the trickster on his zebra now. Not only is he STANDING on the zebra. He decided to show off by letting go with his hands just after I snapped this picture! Any bets on how long we'll make it until the first trip to the ER?

What are these?

So many of Kelly's friends have had little boys that it's a rare occasion when Grayson has little girl playmates over to the house. Emily and Mike drove up from Charlotte and brought their two adorable girls with them! Allison and Grayson are very close in age - Grayson is only about a month older. Lauren will be 3 next month so she was the big girl of the group. Grayson did surprisingly well sharing his toys. We were very proud of him.

Grayson was thrilled to have a cute passenger!
Apparently the zebra is a hit with 3 year olds, too!

Steve was getting a little practice on what it felt like to have 2 at once!

New Barber

Grayson got a new barber this weekend. Turns out that Daddy cuts his hair much better than Mommy! He has a very cute little boy 'do' now since Daddy was as afraid to cut off as much hair as Mommy. He even used the buzzers on the sides and back and Grayson didn't flinch!

Chillin' with my Mommy!

Steve sometimes has some late nights which leaves time for Grayson and Mommy to hang out at night before bedtime. Last night Grayson decided it would be fun to take advantage of slightly warmer weather and roam the house in just his diaper. He also decided dinner would consist of a cup of Goldfish. Mommy couldn't disapprove of either! What little boy wouldn't love naked dinner in the recliner?Who could resist these chubby little footsies?

Here's his happy face!

And here's his scary face!

And here's Grayson trying to share his Goldfish with Gabe....what a sweet big brother! He didn't understand why Gabe didn't want the Goldfish, though.

Girls' Weekend

Emily's in-laws were kind enough to lend us their amazing mountain vacation house for our girls' weekend. We learned that late March in the Smoky Mountains doesn't necessarily promise warm, sunny weather but we had a great time catching up with each other. Five of us from college spent the weekend together without hubbies or kiddos and were reminded how easy it was to fill a weekend with nothing but good food, wine, and conversation! I was delinquent in taking pictures of the actual girls, but have some beautiful shots from the porch of the cabin!
