Williamsburg and Busch Gardens

We headed to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens for a long weekend with my Mom.  The boys were really good on the trip and we all had a great time!  We were only there for a couple of days but managed a day at Busch Gardens, an afternoon in the pool at the resort, a day at the park, and a little shopping.  Here are a few pics...

Easter in Review

I'm so incredibly late posting Easter pictures, but have just been so busy.  So here's a recap in a nutshell...

Dyeing eggs...

 Patience...
Easter Egg hunt at Mimi and Poppaw's house.  I think the Easter Bunny is going to need to step up his game next year.  It didn't take the boys 5 minutes to find those eggs this year!
Modeling their Hawaiian shirts from Mimi and Poppaw's recent trip!

Checking out their baskets at Mimi and Poppaw's house...
 So excited about garden gloves!
 A few Goldfish and you're Luke's hero...

We attended the First and Main Easter Egg Hunt this year in Blacksburg.  Grayson went right up to the Easter Bunny, Luke not so much.
We did a Cake Walk - but only if Mommy would do it with them!
Once Luke saw his buddy Simon he was willing to go to the Easter Bunny.  Then he and Simon has to be silly together...
On to Nana's house for Easter morning...
Being silly with some Easter goodies...
Enjoying some books from the Easter Bunny with Daddy.

Oh no ... the dreaded Easter pictures with all of the cousins.  It gets harder each year.

Everyone with their Nana.  Love Luke's pose!
 Family picture...
Much better results when all subjects are over the age of 5...
My contribution to Easter lunch...cute, but not especially tasty.

Much yummier options on the dessert buffet.  Mom's chocolate pie is the best!

 Ready, Set, Go!
Funnier when you see the next picture...

An especially lucky find while searching for Easter Eggs...a real nest of robin's eggs!
And the closest thing we got to a good shot of the two boys in their Easter outfits...

Spring at the Horticulture Gardens

We're so lucky to have the Virginia Tech Horticulture Gardens in our backyard. Not only do they make for a great backdrop for my attempt and spring pictures of the boys, but they also prove to be a fun place for them to visit. They love watching the huge fish in the ponds, the waterfalls, and the ducks that come to play there. So...while it takes a little coaxing (and a bribe of fruit snacks) to get these guys to pose for pictures, it does at least still make for an enjoyable evening for them.

Rainbows

We have had so many rainbows this year! We were lucky enough to spot this double rainbow on the way home from work/school the other day. I just snapped the pictures with my phone while driving. I imagine some folks on campus who weren't in their cars had the chance to get really amazing pictures!

Probably due to the rainbows we've seen recently, Luke has taken a bit of interest in rainbows and even asked to paint one the other day. He did a remarkably good job and even got the colors all right (thank you, Mickey Mouse, for the rainbow song).
