With Steve's shoulder surgery in November, we had to trade in the snowboards for hiking shoes this winter. The weather has certainly been cooperative and provided for great hiking with friends.
The day after Christmas proved a bit treacherous on the back roads, but fortunately we were able to find a great hike on Staton's Creek in Amherst. Not only was it a great hike, we got to share the day with Jennifer and Erik who were in visiting family for Christmas.

We could hardly believe the weather on New Year's Eve. Friends Joe and Angela drove in from WV to spend the holiday in Blacksburg. The views from Dragon's Tooth were priceless!
