We had a PACKED weekend last weekend - a perfect Mother's Day weekend for me filled with lots of friends and time with my family. Friday we started with a stop in Lynchburg on our way to Amherst to meet my friend Kim from college. My sister Kim was nice enough to watch the boys while Steve and I had dinner with Kim and Chris. Saturday morning started bright and early with a trip to see Holly and Jason (from high school) and their new baby girl, Georgia. Then Grayson and I met Jennifer and Lincoln at Amazement Square! The boys had a GREAT time!
The boat exhibit is always a favorite! Lincoln was more fond of using the boat as a bucket.

And Grayson just wanted to wait at the end and steal as many boats as he could hold.
Jennifer was helping Lincoln put the ball on the shoot.
The best part of the whole day for Grayson may have been when we got super lucky and heard a train coming RIGHT as we were leaving the building!
After Amazement Square we enjoyed the afternoon with my Mom then Sunday morning we had Luke dedicated at my Mom's church.

As if that weren't enough in one weekend, we also squeezed in a trip to Mill Creek Lake for Mother's Day after church.
Mom with 3 of the babies!
Grayson's first trip in a canoe. He didn't quite understand the importance of sitting.
But we finally found a seat he liked!

Mom and I even ventured out for a while with Grayson.
And then we decided to pack one more little detour into our trip back to Christiansburg....
Steve and his parents moved to this house when Steve was about 7. It doesn't look a thing like it did when they bought it - and I couldn't even fit the carport or 3 car garage additions into the photo. I've only known this house for 9 years, but it was still a little sad to wave goodbye for the last time - Rich and Jolene have been living in Christiansburg since September, but just recently sold this house. As sad as it was to wave goodbye to all the good memories on Cheyenne Drive, I couldn't be happier that they're now just around the corner from us. So - farewell Cheyenne - sorry to steal your neighbors, but not so sorry that I'd return them!
