Indiana Wedding

For a few months, Steve and I were kind of dreading the drive to Indiana for his cousin's wedding, but certainly looking forward to seeing family and the much-awaited wedding itself. Over a year ago, Mike asked Olivia to marry him on the 50 yard line. Mike is a local football coach and Olivia his biggest fan. The drive turned out to be not nearly as bad as expected with two toddlers. They really couldn't have been much better thanks to a built in DVD player and lots of snacks. Halfway there, though, I turned around and noticed Luke had taken off his socks and I saw spots all over his feet....then I noticed them on his hands.....then I saw the blisters in his mouth. Luke had Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease and we were halfway across the country. Oh well - I just decided to try to keep him away from any other babies there. He actually never ran a fever and never seemed to feel uncomfortable so it turned out to be not much a deal.

The rehearsal dinner was a football theme...

The next day before the wedding we went to spend some time with Steve's grandmother. The boys enjoyed hiding in her end table.

And they had a little snack...

And gave a few hugs....

During the wedding itself, I didn't even try to sit in the congregation. The boys and I and Rich just headed straight to the "cry room" in the back of the church which is a soundproof booth with sound from the ceremony piped in. It has glass windows so I did still get to see and hear everything, albeit while wrangling my two little toddlers. After the ceremony we headed to the reception where it proved to be too much to both chase toddlers and take pictures, so I opted to keep tabs on my children and leave with very few pictures....

Jake and Jordyn were both in the wedding...

The boys are getting so big! I can't believe what a big boy Grayson looks to be. Wow - time is flying by. Miss you guys. Looks like you've had a busy couple of months. :)
