Last night we had a few of Grayson's little friends over for a "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Party." When I initially ran the idea by Steve last week via email he wrote back and asked me how hard I had bumped my head. I think he will now agree, though, that it was a pretty good idea! Honestly, keeping 6 wasn't much harder than keeping two. They really entertained each other and for the first night a quite some time, Luke actually wasn't attached to my hip the for entire evening. Six actually became 5 pretty quickly when Sam decided he didn't want to be left without his Mommy. Sam is a little younger than most of the kids and he didn't know everyone as well. I'm friend's with Sam's Mom, though, so we're hoping with more practice he'll decide that we look like fun people! Surprisingly enough, there wasn't even one tiny dispute over toys last night. They really couldn't have been better. My picture of all the kids watching Rudolph was quickly erased when I realized that my kid was the only one who was actually interested in a movie. So Rudolph played in the background, but I doubt any of them would pass a quiz on the story. We did manage to paint a few noses red, have fun with some reindeer antlers, and glue some red noses on candy canes. Mostly, though, the kids had fun just exploring new toys and...well....being kids!
Quick dinner with chicken nuggets - if you can call it dinner. Most of them only picked at food - much like mine.
