Angela and Joe invited us up to their Snowshoe cabin for opening weekend last weekend. Snowshoe has already had over 2 feet of natural snow and we got lucky when the forecast for Saturday was for no snow with 35 degree temperatures. Perfect for the boys' first time on skis!
Grayson decided quickly that he loved skiing. He did really well and was asking Steve to "take me to the big hill" after about an hour of the bunny slope. He mastered both the magic carpet lift and the chair lift on his first day! He stayed out for about 3 hours which is about 2 hours longer than I had anticipated.

Here he is coming out of the magic carpet lift for the first time.
Meanwhile...Luke didn't care so much for skiing. I really hadn't expected him to, but we got him skis, too, because I knew he'd be jealous of Grayson's if we didn't. Luke did put them on and did let me drag him down the bunny slope about 3 times. His favorite part was the magic carpet. But then he was DONE.
He was much happier playing in the huge pile of snow in the middle of the village.
