Boat?

Steve has been thinking that he might want to buy a boat for Claytor Lake. We decided to rent a boat with some friends to test out how much fun it might really be last weekend. Turns out it was tons of fun and the boys loved it. Not sure we're any closer to a decision on the boat, though, because we saw how easy and cheap it was to rent a boat! So we're still thinking about the purchase - definitely some positives and negatives to renting vs. owning.

Not exactly the type of boat Steve is used to, but he was a great Captain!

Katherine and Jackson weren't so sure about the whole boat thing. Katherine kept asking to "go on a walk" and, as Angela put it, Jackson was just trying to get back to where he came from!

We also rented a jet ski. Steve and Grayson had a ball zooming around on this thing for a while.

And once Kathering and Jackson had a chance to get acclimated to the water then they quickly decided a boat wasn't so bad after all.

Our boys were a little more tentative in the water, but it didn't take long for them to get comfy.

Pretty soon we had the whole gang swimming!

Towards the end of the day we docked at a little beach and had some fun in the sand.

And then we got brave and let Grayson drive the boat. He was actually very, very good.
A little break for some PB&J's. Perfect afternoon!
